Star Lord Build (ABANDONED)

Hi everyone, since my last build Fallout 4 Combat Armor is close to completion and the convention im making it for is coming up i decided to star my next project i plan on wearing to comic con next year. Over the next year im going to be building this to try and make it as movie accurate as possible.

As of today i have finished the Helmet and next am working on ordering the jacket.

Is that an Xcoser helmet? The grid lines on the movie-helmet lenses are only slightly canted. If it is the Xcoser, then you should be able to set the lenses in there that way.

Also, if you can find some light blue transparent filters. You can install them on the inside of the lens. They may be able to cut down the red-light so you can see better when they are on. You can see the blue filtering in some of the shots in that link as well as the grid lines.

Have you picked out a jacket yet? What will you be going with?

Thanks for the advice yes it is an xcoser helmet. And I plan on getting this jacket and modifying it

Can't link to live ebay auctions. You'll want to edit out that link. Whenever I need to talk about ebay, I just type down the listing title for people to copy+paste into ebay search bar.

I have that same exact jacket. Spurge for real leather if you can, way more comfortable and won't get as hot. Also, I would avoid perforated leather on the front there. Tell them you want normal leather, no holes. It just weakens the leather and makes the jacket look bad in person and the movie jacket isn't perforated anyways.

If you can afford it, this is pretty much the best ebay jacket. It needs virtually no mods.

Yeah, it basically has everything. When I can afford it, I'll be ordering one myself.

The only really glaring fault is the zipper. The movie zipper is this crazy brass-toothed thing. And this ebay jacket has a standard zipper.

If you have the skill or the means, you could order this jacket without a zipper installed and install the accurate zipper. The accurate zippers are sold here in the classifieds.

Also, some people prefer their own hardware like the valves and the badge on the upper left arm. So they would order these without the hardware attached and attach their own.

Also, that topic I linked to before. It's the primary Star-Lord topic for reference pics, etc.

Yeah, you can get the patch here in the classifieds>project runs too. A lot of people have their own versions so you'll want to look around and see what you like best.

Just an FYI but that jacket is the wrong material. The main body should be a screen printed cotton twill not snakeskin leather
