Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Here are all the bottle labels from Quark's Bar. Several are in .psd
format. I can not remember where I got all these, but I did do a touch
of photoshop work on them. Just click link below to download file.
Thank you Montagar for linking these files.

DS9 Wee Bairns label WIP - need help

I've gotten back into re-creating bottle labels seen in Trekdom (mostly DS9, see my sig for more) and I'm revisiting my Wee Bairns label. The best view of the label is from The Art of Star Trek. (Picture 1 below)

Now, I have all the text, but the correct picture is eluding me. I know it's the Enterprise engine room, and I know it's got to be 2nd or 3rd season because of the doodads on the floor. So my question: is the image taken from TOS or is it something the DS9 art dept threw together? The closest screenshot I can find (thanks to Trekcore) is from The Savage Curtain: (picture 2 below)

The strangely bunched-up locations of the control console to the left, and the large unit to the right, make me think it's a composite image, though. Should I stick with the Savage Curtain image, as you can see in the third picture?

Here is an Iron on template I made from a couple of found graphics for Sisko's Creole Resturent aprons. Just print out on iron-on paper no need to reverse the image, iron on then go make some Gumbo!

Re: DS9 Wee Bairns label WIP - need help

Nice work! Always loved bottle labels, it' the thing that drove me to love paper props in the first place! Went through your labels from the link in you sig, nice work! How do you do it?

Re: DS9 Wee Bairns label WIP - need help

Time and patience, and in the case of some of the labels with writing (like the Ferengi one) finding another image or prop that happens to use/re-use the same elements. Discovering that several bottle labels got re-used as cargo labels gave me a new source of reference images, too.

Re: DS9 Wee Bairns label WIP - need help

Nice observation! Too bad I can't help you, can't even run PS on my computer, it's so bloody slow!

Re: DS9 Wee Bairns label WIP - need help

I may have a source for this label, someone who got it from Doug Drexler, who made the original. Doug has also mentioned on his blog that he has other bottle labels somewhere in his files, and when he finds them (and some free time) he'll post them.

Cool Dietrich, good work, have you ever tried the Ractageno(sp) label that goes on the same bottle? There is a picture of it in Art of Star Trek with the other bottles.

Thanks Propalooza,

about four years ago I finished this label. Thanks for reminding me. BTW: There are two different spellings for Raktajeno and Raktajino.

Enjoy

Dietrich

Does anybody have this Ferengi graphic as a decent image for printing please :) ?

Or can somebody work their vector magic here please :) ?

(Bing-Bong..Paging Dr. Dietrich. Dr. Dietrich to the DS9 thread please..Bing-bong :lol)

Did I read my name? Well, I'm a Commander not a doctor!

Here's the solution, found in the book "Star Trek Encyclopedia" on page 566.

Your attached graphic looks like a stretched version of mine.

Keep on trekking

Dietrich
