Analyzer Thanks! I actually haven't done any weathering yet, just a base coat and a quick spray with some black along the bottom. The antennae and control panel are completely unpainted lol.

Never understood why gaming figures continue the convention of the 'distorted lower limbs' in the figures. These 'Shatterpoint' fig sculpts look much better and offer the possibility of 'cross-genre' as accessories for scale modeling. With all the 3-D aftermarket figures, I can now look out for those that are listed as 'Shatterpoint' compatible.

I've been experimenting with requesting 'custom sizing' of figures with varying results, trying to achieve true-scale 1/48 figures. The trouble is that many of the printers tend to use a simple measure of 'foot to eye' height specification *regardless of pose*. Since many of the figures are in a combat stance aka 'bent knees', this will throw off a simple measure when trying to achieve a certain height (usually determined from an actor's published height...). Consequently, I have a lot of figures that are off scale for my purposes - with a cost penalty. There is at least one vendor I've found that actually attempts to compensate for the figure's pose when determining the 'scale', but as I've not tried 'em yet, I will wait to report my findings.

So far though most of the 'printers' are quite okay with doing custom sizes, as long as you can be clear on what you're doing.
For what its worth... ;^)

Mainly referring to the black sooty areas of the lower parts of each. Maybe it was not intentional as weathering but is still a cool effect

Yeah that is the maddening part with the Star Wars Legion line. Beautiful vehicles and details for the figures, but the proportions of the figures as distorted and "thick"

For posterity sake, they have Marvel Crisis Protocol game in the same scaling (~1/44) and like the new Shatterpoint figures, they are much better proportioned and look more dynamic poses than most gaming figures

Oh for sure, thanks! Yup that was intended as weathering, I guess I just don't count it as weathering because I was thinking of washes and whatnot, haha.

Wow! Those are really good sculpts, great actually! Remind me of a bunch that I picked up at the local comics/gaming shop for DC characters. These pre-painted figures are mounted on bases that have built-in 'click-dials' that provide gaming info... but don't recall the brand. Point is, no reason to *NOT* do reasonable sculpts.

Never hurts to leave open 'opportunity' for cross-interest customers, namely the figure modelers who don't care about the gaming, per se.
Thanks for the 'share' on these figures. Now, if they'd only be scaled at 1/48 (personal whine!)
Cheers!
