This is my last kit and this time it's for me!
I have started the project with a basic vynil kit sold on e-bay .
I'm sculpting the base and the cervical vertebres and had détails like braided radiator hoses and stalks of aluminium
I'm painting the kit using SPAZTIX chrom paint. I like the chrome effect, very realistic for me and for all the persons who have see it.

I hope you like it too!

The teeth a more ivory in reality because there a casting in dental resin!
Difficult to make good pics, tomorow i make pics in natural light.

This pic is better to see the color of the teeth and the chrome no?

The transkit i have made (base and the cervical vertebres) can be sold separatly.

Can you give some more info on this paint please? Considering this is a vinyl kit I'm definately interested in some more info about the paint! The more options for vinyl the better!

The paint i use for this kit it's similar to alclad but more solid.
I have first take a layer of sheeny black, then 4 or 5 layers of future and after a good polishing work i put the chrom paint.
The more glossy is the surface the better look is the chrom.

"spaz stix" is the paint, the main web site is here

Look slike a good alternative to alclad . . . I'm going to try and get some in the next week or two and give some a try . . .

Seems like its mainly for use in RC car bodies, it etches the lexan and is sprayed on the inside for the ultra chrome look. Bears playing with though . . .

Very nice, and the paint job is just reflective enough. Most people think of the endoskeleton as being straight-out chrome, when it's actually not that reflective. You got the look dead on!

And who is the maufufacturer of that kit? I don't know that I've ever seen one with dental acrylic teeth. And that base, did it come with that?

Beautiful paint job!.

I am interested in hearing more about the paint as I have a full endo pull that I never seem to get enough $ set aside to chrome plate. Perhaps this is a cheaper alternative to plating or Alclad even.

BTW, the full sized screen-used, Endo "puppet" that I spent time with at XFX, was not chrome plated. They were vacuum-metalized. An entirely different process and different effect.
Actual chrome would have been too reflective for camera work.

The CGI endos appear to be chrome effect, but reflexions can be dealt with in CG.

I have a GreyZon cyborg skull kit that I am about to start really working on and I was wondering if you could make a set of the Vertebrae for me? Also, if you have parts numbers for the hoses and such that would be great too.

I pretty much want to do a display exactly like yours.

Anubispro: You can use Alclad first and spaztix after to make a good aspect. Spaztix it's more strong than Alclad an make a good chrom look.
I have make shadow with ink but with very light touch. The secret is a very smooth finish for the black before the chrom painting
Dropshipbob: I don't know the exact name of the manufacturer but you find this kit on the e-bay store of thai sellers like prim-prim or animegh
But the dental acrylic teeth and the base are not in the kit. It's my "touch"

For M Bison, Emeldahay and the others:
The vertebrae and the base are home made. It's my first garage kit. It can be sold in separatly pièces. The base cost is 25 euros, like the vertebrae. For the moment i don't know the postage amount for the U.S but i'm going to the post office the next week and than i can tell you the answer
For interest person mp me
