Tamiya fine surface primer question

I picked up my first can of Tamiya Fine primer (grey) and had a question I'm ashamed to ask...is this a lacquer? Sorry for the noob question but I honestly could not find the type anywhere on the can, and purchased at hobby lobby and could not find an employee who knew.

To any members who have used it before, are there any particular paint types to avoid (I do always test, but if I need to be wary was hoping I might get a heads-up).

Lastly, anyone used this on Bandai Star Wars kits and had problems?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, Tamiya Fine primer is lacquer. You can spray any kind of paint on top of it, acrylic, enamel, lacquer, whatever. I've used it on a few Bandai Star Wars kits with no issue at all.

Speaking of Vallejo, their Mecha primer is super smooth, too. It comes in the little eyedropper type bottle. You can airbrush it right out of the bottle so it might be a cheaper alternative if you're working with a relatively small model.

Thanks for info everyone. Used it and very happy.
And for anyone interested, I did get it at Hobby Lobby and the 40% off coupon was accepted.
