TASM2 mask + prescription glasses?

Hey guys, I really hate wearing contacts because they irritate my eyes so I usually wear glasses. I was wondering if anyone making masks like spidey masks has ever integrated lenses from glasses before and how that worked out?

I'm thinking about ordering a cheaper pair of glasses, popping out the lens and somehow gluing all that into my face shell, but if anyone has any tips about integrating precription lenses into a close fitting mask like spidey mask I'd love to hear about your experience!

I think the biggest issue you will have is that the angle of the glass in your lenses will distort your vision.

I agree. I would have zero chance of this working without a face shell, but I will go ahead and try and see what happens. I'll upload pics of what I do if I end up with something good.

I'll let you learn from my mistakes. That sounds great in theory, but doesn't work the way you want it to. First off, when you glue or adhere the lenses into the mask, Like TJack said, it is a bit distorted since the distance between the lens and your eye is not the same as it was designed to be. Second issue is that if you want a decent field of vision in a faceshell, you have to cut some pretty large eye holes, which means there will not be an area that you can simply glue the lenses to. I am still tinkering with a few other ideas, but as of yet it looks like I am going to have to get a pair of contacts and just suck it up for when I wear my suit.

Good news guys! I rigged a pretty sketchy set up and was able to put some lenses into my mask! I just adhered it with a rubber band so far so it looks pretty bad, but I could see as clearly as I could with my glasses, minus the actual mask/spidey lens obscuring my view. I had these glasses lying around my house...can't find exact model but they are kinda like these.

Basically those lenses inside the outer glass are detachable and I just took them out and put them in my toy spidey Hero Mask face shell (can't afford the real face shell :(), and it worked pretty well! I was surprised it worked at all and I'm more likely to build the rest of the suit now that I got the eyes/mask working. The lenses do not stick out at all. I will post some photos maybe later this week once I have more free time. But for glasses wearing Spideys there is hope!

Hey guys, I am back with those photos I mentioned a while ago.... been a busy few weeks. Anyways I obviously need to use something more permanent instead of the rubber band, but this set up is what I will probably end up going with. I cannot afford/make a face shell any time soon so I am gonna use this $10 hero mask I got from your local big box store. Check out the post above this one for what kind of glasses I used. I do not have the brand... I just happened to find these lying around and I don't even remember what I bought them for (never wore them before lol). I hope this helps people with glasses!

Third photo to show that if you are wearing the mask over the face shell it does not protrude very much. and shouldn't be a problem.
