The Shining Bear Costume

So I've been trying to find some examples of people doing a costume of the guy in the bear costume from the Shining and I was surprised to find that there's no examples of this and that there's no information regarding the origin of this costume.

I was wondering if this was custom made for the movie or if its some vintage mass produced costume that was lost to time or something. Have you done this costume or know someone who has?
