Gone but not forgotten.
What if you plucked Starscream out of any G1 episode of "The Transformers" cartoon series, and into the real world?

I do have an extensive "in progress" picture series, and I will make that available in a more condensed version if peeps want to see it ( this thing took the better part of a year to do...putting down, working it again...putting down, etc. ) , but till then,
here ya go!
For detailing, of course I made sure he was properly, and heavily weathered.
I decided his final colorings to show all the colorings he ever showed with in the show, because there were times he had a plain color nose cone, and times his tail fins weren't blue either, etc.
His rear undercarriage where his legs transform from, was completely fabricated from pieces of styrene, shaped, glued, sanded, to fit , and putty to fill in the rear areas, and the seams of the box piece.
His iconic point wing tips were just cut from styrene and glued on the ends to fit as best as it could look, then sanded ,puttied and painted to match.
Main body color was just light aircraft gray, tail wings just plain bright blue, and red accents just plain red. Nothing too complicated.
His laser cannons were just heavily modified and cut down made from the fuel tanks that came with the plane.
I added some greeblies at the back of each cannon to emulate the way it looked on the show.
The Decepticon symbols on the wings were literally just printed out on real thin paper, carefully cut out and glued down. Yep.
The glass canopy?
Well, lets say I had to eat a ton of $$$ buying what ended up being THREE F-15 models on eBay, just to get at the canopy, because I screwed up the transparent paint job one time, then glue seamed to cause a reaction to the paint the next time, but I finally got it down the last time, and didn't even have to glue it in. I just kinda snapped in place, so said "screw it...." and left him there. lol
Also, the base I made for this, I tried to evoke the true 80s ish-ness of the show, plus it's rather impressionistic take on a key moment in the animated movie from '86, where Starscream was chasing Autobots down a corridor in the Autobot base as it was locking down on him, and the ships' upward stance is him flying away from it.
The heavy duty metal pipe fitting strap worked like a charm to set into the base, and bend at the proper angle, which fed right into the slot on the bottom of the plane, where I fabricated his transformed leg assembly.
Then I adorned it with the final touch using a plastic
automotive sticker style Decepticon badge, which gave it that feel of the intro of the show.
Hope you enjoy!
Finally, a real life ( not that Michael Bay lookin s**t) Starscream! lol
