Troy - Achilles armour

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to re-create the armour Brad Pitt wore in the movie Troy (the bronze one, not the leather one). Since I'm a starting, self-taught smith, I'm going to make it out of sheet-steel, and covering it with bronze. But I'm curious if anyone here has any materials whatsoever - templates, pep files, pictures of your own replicas etc.

I've also thought of oxidising the steel, with the right temperature I might be able to get that nice gold/bronze look

I started on the shield last week, cut up an ol satelite dish It was a bitch trying to find the middle, though, because as it turns out, they're not perfectly round, as I always thought up till now, but slightly elyptic
