will be sending my tasm2 suit off to trophywife in the next few days and was wondering for those who have opted for the u zip how hard is it to get your head through the neck hole? im wanting a u zip but i feel my head is on the bigger side and afraid the hole would be to small for my head to fit and a down the back zipper would be better to be safe any input fellow webheads?

Your head shouldn't get stuck. I have had a better experience with a U zipper because when. I had a straight zipper, the zipper was a bit too small so I couldnt even bend my head down. The U zipper doesnt have many problems except that if it doesnt measure properly, it could be wavy around the sides

a painted suit is a mother f$%#^ to zip i cannot do it by myself... i am speaking of a tasm1 print fully painted... besure to tell her to iron open the teeth on the zippers...
it would help it lay more flat and easier to zip

I would go with u zippers. First u are more free to move and u can open and close it urself without any help ;)

I noticed it on the zipper i sewed that it get stuck abit at the puff painted spots. But it works when i strech the fabric witj one hand and open the zipper with the other.

To iron it im not sure if it will melt or destroy the puff paint.

you are to iron the zippers before you install them on your fabric so they lay a bit flatter before sewing...

U-zip gives you more room for your head to pull through than a back zip. Just returned from TW's house to get my back zip adjusted so I can slip my head through my new TASM 2 suit. Compared to my TASM 1 suit that has a U, the U is easier for me, but went with the T zip to fall in line with the actual TASM 2 suit.

Aside from ability to pull your head through does the u-zip offer better suit flexibility for bending forwards and backwards?

Straight down the back zip all the way! It's easier and it sits better on the costume. The only advantage with a u zip in my opinion is that you can attach sneaky flat pockets on the side of an under armour shirt for a phone, keys and cash and access them through one side of the zip.
