Ultimate Spider-Woman Cosplay help

Hi everyone,

My gf and I will be working on getting a dye sub printed in her size so she can go as Ultimate Spider-Woman (the female clone of Ultimate Peter Parker), however we're wondering if anyone has any experience with cutting the top part of the mask so that her hair can stick out?

How big of a whole should we cut so that the mask isn't falling off her face? And should we sew the sides of the hole so that it doesn't accidentally tear or become larger?

Here's a photo for reference, as you can see the mask has an opening at the top of her forehead:

Thanks for the advice! I was thinking that another option would be for her to simply wear a wig over the mask and not make any cuts or alterations to it.

That's how Zentaizone sells these spider-woman suits: with the wig included/attached (judging from the photos)
