Unique 2008 Hand-built prototype Tomenosuke Blade Runner Deckard blaster

Sold for 2000 USD
Hand made by Nobutaka Toku of Tomenosuke in Japan. This is a development piece, one of the first replicas made, based on my extensive photography of the prop gun at Worldcon in 2006.

This work is a piece of art and a real part of Blade Runner fan history. Nobu spent months hand-machining parts and corresponding back and forth with me with observations.

The LEDs light up but the battery was removed years ago to prevent leakage. Electronics have been tested, they work but one red LED has fallen out and the switch to turn OFF the green laser pointer LEDs is not working. See reply below for more details.

Note the construction of this piece is similar to that of a normal Tomenosuke, but with the diecast metal parts hand-machined, blued and finished to resemble the authentic materials as closely as possible.

So the upper, side plates, trigger guard are machined aluminum?
I don't want to risk being mistaken so I won't comment on specific materials used in particular components. I will say that every part has been exquisitely finished as you see in the photos.

Still available.

I did test the lights, they work, but i found a couple of issues.

One of the red LEDs has fallen out, it was loose in the case. The other lights work though, so I imagine it could be re-inserted by somebody who knows what they're doing (that person is not me unfortunately).

The other issue is that I THOUGHT the front trigger turned the green "laser pointer" lights on and off but apparently I am mistaken, or it has stopped working. The green lights stay on and the ON/OFF switch does not turn them off. I removed the battery to get them to turn off. Again perhaps somebody who knows electronics could fix that.

Here's a video of the lights:
