Watchmen: Original Prop Statue

Sold for 799 USD
This listing is for a screen-used Anubis statue from Ozymandias' hidden Antarctic fortress in HBO's Watchmen. This statute can be seen in Episode 8: "A God Walks into Abar", when Doctor Manhattan visits Adrian Veidt at Karnak. In both the original graphic novel and the HBO sequel, Adrian has a deep obsession with ancient Greek and Egyptian culture (hence the name Ozymandias), and this statue is among his vast collection of artifacts from that era. As Doctor Manhattan enters the castle, he sees that an increasingly frustrated Veidt has smashed several of his monitors and display cases, and this Anubis statue can be clearly seen lying on the floor among the detritus of the display case.

Overall, this statue is in fantastic condition. It's intended to look ancient, so it does have a weathered, antique look. But it's still in the same condition as it was on set. It measures approximately 18" X 6" X 8". This was purchased from an official HBO prop auction, hosted by Heritage Auctions, and the original COA will be included as shown.

The winner will receive the exact item in the photos, so please refer to them for a closer look. US Shipping is $20. International Shipping is $85. Thank you for viewing this listing!
