What are the boots used for Vader in ROTS

As the title says. What are the boots used and, asuming they are expensive, are there any aceptable alternatives?

As I understand it, everything for the movie was made specifically for the movie except the chain and the tusks.

Any high black boots will do.

They pretty much look like black riding boots.

Here are some shots of the boots that may help identify them.

Obviously the lifts are custom but the boots themselves look to be some kind of riding or dress boot. I'm very interested in getting them IDed too.

Atleast I've noticed that the boots are very flat at the front of them, that would make it somewhat easier to track as there arent that many boots like these with flat fronts, atleast what I've seen.

I'm making a ROTS Vader too, so will be looking for these and let you know if I find anything.

I use a pair of horseback riding boots. I know that the ROTS version doesn't use the laces, but I prefer because this method is more safe and I can use this boots for other costumes :)

The thing that the ROTS shin guards didnt have any laces, what did they use to hold the armor onto the boots with then? I guess probably velcro, but snap buttons could also be used?

I used sticky velcro and the result was that the shins sometimes detached for some particular movements. (and clearly you will ruined the boots ) Probably you can use the snap buttons, I think it's a good idea !:thumbsup

If someone is trying to replicate the screen-used boots then the attachment needs to be hidden. Otherwise, straps around the back of the calf is the easiest solution.

I haven't gotten to this on my costume yet but when I do I'll most like use a long strip of velcro on the front of the boot and back of the shin guard or snaps.

Use snaps Danakin if you want to hide the attachment, the glue of velcro don't solidify on leather ( or faux..) and will strain everywhere on the boots :wacko

If I were to use velcro I would sew it on to the boot instead of using the sticky velcro.
