What to look for in your new 3D Printer

I know a lot of the community have already bought 3D printers. I have decided that this is the year i buy one. But after all of my research i still can;t decide so i thought i would ask the community. I am planing on using it for prop building and i need to know the most important thing i need to look for in a Printer. Like for instance does it need to be enclosed or does the print bed need to be heated? things like that. I am wanting to spend around a grand (1000) on it so the awesome and highly recommenced Ultimaker 2 is out of the question.
