Lifesize JACK SPARROW!! Howard's resin masterpiece finished

Well after about a month of working on this masterpiece from Howard, here are the results!! Just a quick note on what I did to it. I had to sculpt eyebrows sice Howard intended this as a silicone bust only and sent it bald.I also added actual facial hair to it. I used hair from national fiber technology and had to glue it on a little bit at a time to achieve Jack's scruffy looking beard. The goatee is from Ms Mazie on ebay as is the wig set. I had to trim down the goatee quite a bit and add the facial hair above it to blend it in with the rest of the look. The costume came from empire worldwide and the hat is an acme brand Tricorn. The base was found on ebay and gatorbait made a killer plaque to finish it off. Hope you guys like it as this was a real labor of love and not sure if I would tackle another Jack like this. (I can appreciate what the guys who punch hair go through and what I did was not even as tough as that.)

thats incredible... that spot on his right cheek... that makes me wince... it looks like a real wound... very good work!

You did a great job on it, base and accessories included, but I don't know why, but the sculpt doesn't look like Johnny Depp or Jack Sparrow to me... Sorry:(
And this is weird, because we all know how good is Howard on his works... Maybe it's just the pose or expression... Don't know...:unsure

I think it's your best work ever. It's definitely the most realistic you've ever painted. I don't care for the wheel base, but everything else is incredibly nice.

Really? You don't like the base? Well I also picked up a replica Rum barrel that I intended to use on another Jack bust. Maybe that would look cooler.

Jack is USUALLY smiling a bit crookedly, and this is more genuine (which does happen from time to time in the film). Also, you're used to seeing Jack as an ensamble. His whole body is the character in the way he walks, moves, gestures, etc. In the bust, you're only seeing 1/5th of him, so it's not allowing your brain to see the other "landmarks" that says, :Hey, That's Jack!"

I personally feel it's a great likeness of the character as far as the sculpt goes. Steve's paint job further brings out the look of the character in ways a plain bust just can't.

Fantastic job, Steve! And the burn scar on his jaw is amazing. It could fool a doctor.

I like the wheel base - but it might look better with him sitting flat on it - without the pole... turned out great!

nice work steve-o.....your skillz have improved on every project.

can i ask a favor?.....could you post more pics?

Great work! The only thing I would change is to place his teeth a little higher, so his gum wouldn't show. I would also prefer a more simple base to give more emphasis on the sculpt itself.
