Carl9149's "MAN OF STEEL" COSTUME

Is the print actually "3D" - in terms of the outer-laying "lattice" design?

What is the base material that the design is printed on?

while there is a little distortion due to the curvature of the arm underneath the cloth, here is a crop of the pattern up close.

Okay, I'm obviously late to the party here - and pulled a "noob" by creating a new/separate thread prior to finding this one.
(sorry about that) :$

A FEW QUESTIONS . . . .
1. Is the lattice pattern above is actually "3D" (or "raised") from the base material?

2. What is the base material on which the bodysuit pattern is printed?

3. If you were to offer/sell this pattern, would it be possible to offer a modified version without the emblem, belt, boots and/or side/wrist "extras?" (I'm not sure what to call them). I ask because these add-ons are things I, personally, would want to try to create/add on separately from the main underlying bodysuit - for a more "authentic" and "3D" affect (see images below)

Although, on second thought, I suppose the pre-printed "extras" patterns may be helpful as GUIDES for applying overlaying material for the more "authentic/3D" affect - sans the emblem.

That top pic of yours is from the screen used one, not mine. Mine are printed onto 4-way stretch Lycra and the pattern effects just look 3D, and is not raised from the material. Just an effect.
I am waiting for the print to be sewn and finished for a test print of the file, and when I have it and see how it looks I will offer them in the Junkyard. But only when I am happy of the finished look. Prices will be in the junkyard also, no discussion in pricing will be done on this thread page.

Gotcha ... Thanks for the update. :)

I wonder how the/an actual raised lattice pattern was/could be achieved.

OK guys and girls, the Junkyard thread for the basic Man Of Steel design has been created so check the Junkyard if your interested.
Thanks
Carl.

Update time, Darkhero has completed the sewing for the test print, I can see where some things need to be changed and I will be doing this within the next week and then it will be finished and ready to go to the junkyard for the file. And the new sewing pattern works well, which makes it easier to sew together, so I am happy.

Darkhero put on a make shift cape to see what it looks like:

I am happy enough with the test print, and know that the colors will change, and some of the designs are to be touched up. But now I know where I need to change things, this should be done within a few days.
Thanks Darkhero, you did a great job with the sewing as always budd!!

Ye that's one of the things I am currently changing on the design, as well as the details for the back.

Done some revision on the suit tonight, think it is pretty much finished how I want it now, let me know what you all think. The emblem has been moved up, the back has been re-designed, and some smaller parts have been re-mastered.

You've done a fantastic job with your costume! Now one thing I think you should add, since the director of the new movie felt they weren't necessary, is the red underwear. :) Me personally, I think it would make the movie costume look so much better. That's just me though.

I know you're going for a screen accurate look and you've done a remarkable job!

Question, the printed sewn pictures above makes the shield very wide, almost stretched out. Was that cause of the Sewing or the previous design?
