This was the first time I’ve seen it in theater and was so glad for the opportunity to. Really had a great time sharing this first time theater experience with my daughters too.

Did anyone else’s theater show it not the full screen ratio size? I thought it was just the interview with Fede and Ridley but then the whole movie was like that.

Also, I wish they had stayed away from showing clips of the movie during the interview. Obviously it didn’t ruin or spoil anything but kind of took away from seeing those scenes for the first time on the big screen, for me anyways. First world problems..

Do you mean it was NOT shown in 2.20:1? My showing was definitely 2.20:1. Might even have been 2.35:1 like the 70mm prints.

It looked fantastic though. I caught the 40th anniversary screening in 2019 and this time it looked noticeably better. I have to also say, Sigourney Weaver should have been nominated for best actress. I looked up the nominees for that year and while I haven't seen any of the movies in the best actress category to give a fair assessment, it's hard to imagine they had to convey the range that she did. Outstanding performance.

Do you mean it was NOT shown in 2.20:1? My showing was definitely 2.20:1. Might even have been 2.35:1 like the 70mm prints.

Yeah, it's just that most theaters don't have wide enough screens. My theater was the same albeit it's a fairly wide screen so it was only a bit of space at the top and bottom.
