GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
MILANO

Welcome to my new build series 'Project Milano'. After my studio scale SLAVE 1 build I wanted to create something a little different, and start with a blank canvas rather than buy files, be disappointed, and end up re-designing from scratch.
My goal is to design and 3D print a 1/48 scale, screen accurate, model of the MILANO - Starlord's ship from 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Volume 1.
In 1/48 scale the MILANO will have a wingspan of about 1 metre. A typical figure will be about 38mm tall.
You can see my progress so far on the 'StaplesandVine' YouTube channel but here's some renders of my files for the cockpit so far. These will be 3D printed and tested in the next week then I will be on to the rest of the ship. I hope you enjoy my channel and please subscribe. Thank you.

The Milano is one of my favorite spaceships ever, so I'll be following with great interest! Already off to a great start.

I've been yearning for a good model kit for years —It's criminal there isn't even a decent licensed kit available. Would love if Bandai did a version of this ship someday. Have you seen the huge model in the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Disney World? I was just there last weekend and finally got to see it in person. It's beautiful. I only got a few shots of it, the line was moving too fast for me to really digest it fully.
