any word from QMx about the metal version? it's been more than a year already :cry

Nope. I'm guessing they'll hold out until after the Serenity model releases... to gauge interest in the high-end stuff. (UNless they've already decided that there is not enough interest in the metal Serenity Mal.)

Yeah, they're still around... but they're more geared towards releasing different collectibles over "pure" props. They've recently released a Cylon Raider from the new BSG. They're working on a model Serenity that looks very good so far... and they're releasing a bunch of cartoon-like figures of the Serenity crew (not really to my tastes, unfortunately).

They do have a nice mix of items, however the only items I would call "props" would be the Mal Stunt pistol and the Serenity Papers. The Cylon Raider model looks pretty cool.
