I have always wanted a roman MPP. But as far as i know, the grip was not open in the middle, instead just on the pommel right? Did you make yourself the bulb socket adapter as well?
The Romans MPP barrel is open all the way through. The bulb socket will come out with the removal of a couple little screws. Then you need to separate the metal front from the plastic back. I just had to twist mine off. I've heard some people need to use a solvent to break the bond. The hard part is finding a blade holder. I finally found a solution on Shapeways with RJT Custom Sabers. They offer a blade holder for 1" or 7/8" blades. They also have electronics chassis.
The pictures are of the 1 inch RJT blade holder inserted in the back of the metal ring from roman's bulb socket. With the 7/8" holder you get to retain the cool looking metal spring.
RJT has a video on his youtube site that shows how it all goes together.

Yeah, IIRC, dagobah swamp did make a run for metal MPP blade holder. Due to romans wasnt able to open at the grip, got the 89 sabers instead.

Yeah, they've been out of stock for years. Even if they were available they are stupid expensive.
Haha..I was refraining myself not comment on the price, but anyway u have already did. But yes, its quite pricey.

Anyway, I stumbled my old pictures of my previous project. A little bit of mash up between Episode VI (if im not mistaken) Vader and Luke Hero hilt that I am quite fond of. With some decorative window on the main body with functional switches on the body instead on the hero switch box. Installed with warsabers neocore.

Nothing in this hobby is cheap.
Nice build, I imagine Vader going into his armory in the morning trying to decide which saber to carry that day.

True, but its hard to get rid of the addiction and the collection grows even more together with the obsession. Haha. Another built that I'm quite fond of, although its more canon design.

True, true. I just counted today and I'm up to fourteen. I've only been doing this for about a year!

I have a Korbanth LS6 I had to have him install for me, Proffie 2.2. The chassis wasn't available to purchase separately.

My first crystal chamber. 3D resin from shapeway. I got the chassis undecorated from Etsy.
I call it Battle Axe.

This is about as close to old/scrapyard tech as I've gotten. Just some TCSS sections with one of their prebuilt golden harvest chassis. And a fair bit of weathering.
