T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

ok that says it all thanks for the answers , then is the only exact model that was used in the Terminator 1 / T1? How many of them were there? Were the molds destroyed or did they make some new ones, or rework it and make it a T2 forever LOL it is also heavily edited? The emp museum skull is the one 100% skull with only a few parts missing, right?

T1 was a small production, so from what I have gathered there was 1 complete endoskeleton + a half body one (could be the 1 that is just taken apart and used accordingly,) and then some extras for various bits for various effects. We know they made more than 1 skull, because the Propstore auctioned T1 blow up skull exists.

For T2 there were 5 complete endoskeletons, though, JamesCameronOnline states only 4 was made - but there are 5 in the picture. Is one of them the T1 with some parts replaced with T2 parts, such as the hands and knee? Who knows. That site also states they refined things on the endoskeletons, so they could have refined the skull too. But besides the rear cover being different it seems to be pretty close to T1.

The EMP Museum one is a screen used skull, so one of the production skulls. All the ones I showed except for the Gift Skull are production style skulls, so the closest you can get. The Gift Skulls are probably the closest you can get after that. But they have M1 temple inserts and various grooves and details changed from the production style look.

At least that's just my take on things.

Oh wow, it's really hard to sort all the pictures into T1 and T2, exactly where my model is almost finished... xD

OK 4 endoskeletons were made for T2, Stan Winston's crew may have added one next to it to recreate it or one was for his display collection or both, I don't know

Sideshows is 100% inaccurate. It has nothing to do with any screen used endoskull.

No licensed skull is "100% accurate". But at least some of them have linage from screen used skulls. in 2010 that meant everyone except Sideshows.

How many times does this have to be stated?
ok ok i make my own T1 skull by myself to 98% 99% - or 100%.... thanks for the info again xD or i wait to a 100% acurate 3d scan in 100 years of EMP Museum Skull im starting now to looking at the shooting stars and i wish a skull falling directly into my arms

I found something ( Hollywood Star Cars Museum Museum in Gatlinburg, Tennessee ) it means, prop of Terminator - T1 or T2 Skull but looks like a T2 Skull... but The Arnie Figure is very accurate :rolleyes:o_O

And an EMP Museum skull 3D scan will never happen with the current owners in charge.
Maybe we should send a Terminator back through time to the EMP museum to do the job for us, we're all his loyal fans right!

That would be cool if everyone would share, it's really annoying sometimes.... some stuff of Terminator is long overdue
a few things from Terminator are long overdue, Arnie would have easily made his billion with figures and statues .
The Star Wars creators have also made more money with fan articles, figures, statues and other things than all the films put together It would have worked easily with Terminator.

A few days ago I was made aware that there were new updates to the software for my scanner. I had forgot to check the box that made them download automatically. I downloaded it and am now trying the new software... and in a quick and dirty endoskeleton lower jaw scan in 0.2mm resolution I almost got a quality of scan that rivals my previous 0.1 skull scan. So I will test it out more and most likely rescan the whole endoskeleton again.

Major improvement.

Hope they have done the same kind of improvement to the 0.1mm scan option as they have done to the 0.2mm one.

It's almost unbelievable to think it is the same scanner as before.

Will post pictures soon.

If I didn't tell you the skull is the old 0.1mm scan... and the jaw is the new 0.2mm scan done quick and dirty (not even 30 minutes worth of work), you would probably think the jaw scan was the better scan. I know I certainly do. So, basically... forget everything I've said about this scanner up until now. I can hardly believe it is the same scanner. It's like I'm trying it out for the first time. I could probably have gotten better results with the jaw scan if I had been more thorough... but what I got here is adequate for what we need it for. I'm floored by the difference.

Note to self: always check if there is new software before starting bitching about something like this.

ok i see it left is your foam skull prop scanned with 0,1mm and right is the jaw of your LFS kit with 0,2mm That looks very interesting and I don't see much of a difference But the shift in the lower jaw is really bad hope you get this fixed somehow... Otherwise good job I would be interested in your scans to see how the nose cavity is designed from both kits
