What is this Star Trek TOS Phaser and Communicator?

I have a bunch of props in storage. I was going through some boxes and came across these props from "I think" the 1980s. Been collecting since I was a kid. Anyway, who made this phaser and communicator? I've included pics.

The Phaser is an Ed Miarecki (I have the exact same Phaser I bought at StarCon back in 1986).

Thanks so much for the responses! I remember Ed Miarecki. I think I bought it at one of my first Trek Conventions. Is the communicator also Ed Miarecki?
