What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

And 2 weeks later, they're finished:

Just finished up this quick project while waiting on some parts for other projects.

The Aura Visual-Analyzer helmet worn by Louis Tully in Ghostbusters. A little bummed about the holes in the front but sometimes you just have to work with what you can find.

Had to print all the ceramic insulators after searching everywhere and turning up empty handed. The chin cup is a diy job until I can find an actual vintage one.

Followed Fer451’s (thingiverse) super detailed wiring guide. Tons of fun putting the whole thing together.

I started a fiberglass Star Trek Midgrade Phaser II, over this past weekend….

I still need to finish the Phaser I details…

Update: I finally got around to wrapping-up this Star Trek Midgrade Phaser II, this morning. I completely repainted the Phaser I with a new, custom mix, and attached the remaining greeblies.

This is actually something of a “Franken-Phaser” with the fiberglass shells made up of parts from 3 different kits, in order to get the look I was shooting for (the front of the Phaser II is from one kit, the back-and of the Phaser II is from another kit, and the Phaser I shells from another kit…)

This is also a Season One version of the Midgrade (around “The Devil In The Dark” time period of production) with “squared-off” vs “rounded” extra crispy.

Sooooooo many backed-up projects. I have GOT to to stop buying anymore kits until I have caught up on my backlog.
