First post of a work in progress. I wanted to test my scratch building skills and decided to hack the Bandai Snowspeeder. Here’s what I’ve got so far.
Started with chopping the canopy and hollowing the interior.
Started the new canopy.
And the interior.
Next, hallowed put some panels and made a “functional” air deflector. Plan is to display with canopy up and panels removed for maintenance.
Today was paint and weathering. This is my first attempt with washes and pastels so lots more work to be done.
And here’s where we are.

Not happy with the seats. The multiple washes took their toll, but I used a piece of aluminum foil to get the baseline seat texture, so I may rip that off and try again. Or not...
