1:1 Jack Sparrow Bust... 2008 Version!

Just finished with my latest silicone bust... a 1:1 Jack Sparrow. I've been planning this one for some time and finally managed to work him into my busy work load. I'm also planning a full statue version too, thats why he's tilted back slightly, he's going to have that arms out to the sides classic drunk 'Sparrow' pose.

I have another bandana sitting out in the sun, when it's fully aged and faded I'll be swapping that out... the one on him now is way too new looking.

Hope you like him!

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the ground! Howard, this is your best yet!!!! I love the grin! It really brings Jack to life.

Absolutely amazing Howard, I've been really looking forward to this one and I must say it certainly doesn't disappoint! Perfection!

Howard simply awesome...
I do have a question though what is the lifespan of the latex busts vs the resin ones?
I just picture the latex breaking down after a zillion years

anyway simply outstanding work!

Latex and Silicone are too completely different mediums. Latex is rubber, silicone feels like flesh. As long as you take care of the silicone, not leave it where UV rays can get at it and you lightly powder it up once in a while, it should last a very long time. Also you don't want to touch it too much as the oils in your hands can affect it over time. Put that sucker in a display case and no problemo.

Man, every time I think it's impossible for you to top your previous effort something new comes out of your studio that shocks me. Incredible work once again Howard. I can't wait to see what the full statue looks like!

Wow :eek

Brilliant Howard. Superb likeness and spirit of the character is really on display there. Outstanding :thumbsup

it has an amazing lifelike appearance.
So, are you going to "pirate-ize" the teeth?
You know, get it all nasty and dirty.

It looks just like that drunk foolio!

Great job of not just capturing the likeness of Johnny Depp but also capturing Depp "in character" as Jack Sparrow.
