1/24 B-Wing. A super slow build. Now Painting V2

Re: 1/24 B-Wing. A super slow build.

Guy,
Not trying to be rude, but some of those are the decals I made for my B-Wing.

Joe

Sorry Joe, I had not intended to look like they were my design. I had some decals from a few sources but never new who's were who's, plus the jpg's I edited off of the original ilm model photo's to creat the missing ones. Sorry If I have upset/offended you. Let me know if you want me to remove the file. I had transfered them onto one word file with mine & another set that I got to make print out easier.

Re: 1/24 B-Wing. A super slow build.

Guy,
Nah, no damage done, mate. I'm not looking for credit, either...I do have them on my website for anyone's use after all. I guess I felt that I should have been contacted, at least at the moment of my post. Although, now that I look back, I was just in a really bad mood due to some unfortunate events that day...nothing I need to take out on anyone else. All aside, you are a big contributor to the modeling world so I'm honestly proud that you, with your caliber modeling skills, would use them on your kit!

BTW, Shadowknight...sorry about hijacking your thread. The B-Wing rocks! I actually feel that same way about painting. I dig the darker gray accents...dead on color match, IMO!

Re: 1/24 B-Wing. A super slow build.

Well since I built this other B-wing in thread, I figured I would post the paint it of it here too. :)

I decided to make the V2 out of this one and it is by no means supposed to be screen accurate paint or detail, just like my V1. This is not SS and I love the idea that I can get the essence of the SS model and have fun with it.

Here is where I am at with the paint so far. The only weathering done is the paint chipping, so these colors will most likely change a lot before the build/paint is over with.

Here we go:

Access to wiring just like my other B-wing:

Engine parts ready for thier final working:

I have no idea why the wing guns look curved in this photo. Perhaps it's the angle:

And the lower guns. Again, these are mostly scratched just like my other one:

Wow very nice! This will make for a nice pair of B-Wings.

BTW, just out of interest, while I would not want to build a second one as it was so much work, are you still selling this kit?

No I am not, and I do not even have the molds any longer. I do know who does though and I know that they are interested in selling kits.

At this point, I would not pull another kit, but I have no problem helping to remaster this kit it if I was asked. :$

I am officially done with helping Robert with these kits.

Since I mounted the other one the way the studio model was, I decided to mount this one the opposite way. I used a 1/24 Harrier Pilot this time and I lit this one as well. Almost finished.

As far as posts on this board go, this baby is done. I have a few little fixes that I need to do then I might throw this up for sale.
