Completed the kit with aftermarket photo etch from Strawberry Frog add on -as well the light kit from VooDooFX and a TIE maintenance gantry from Strawberry Frog .

What is piece 26?
It is roughly rhombus shaped piece, with 3 holes in it, that goes on the upper, port, front part of the ball.
In your pictures, you can see there is an alignment notch, where it belongs.

Ahh I see- that part was not on the parts tree in my kit - must have gotten lost - I can fashion one from scratch and fix that
