2012 Movie Awards - 2013 Oscars - 85th Academy Awards

Anne Hathaway for Supporting Actress was no surprise. Quite a heartfelt speech as well.

Argo gets its first Oscar with William Goldenberg for Film Editing. Hope it gets more.

Chris Terrio for Adapted Screenplay for Argo. Tarantino for Original Screenplay for Django Unchained, short but strong speech.

Ang Lee for Directing Life of Pi, which always seemed like a monumental task to adapt that subject matter.

I'm disappointed MacFarlane didn't work in a Harlem Shake into tonight's show.

Overall, I think it was a boring show.

Cant believe the little kid I used to watch in Voyage of the Mimi did it! So proud of him!

Argo wins Best Picture and Affleck ends up giving a inspiring speech that almost got me choked up.

Nice, I remember reading about that few days ago.

As with most adaptations based on true stories, lot of creative liberties were taken to suit the storyline direction they were going for. Canada indeed had a more pivotal role in the mission than what was portrayed on-screen.

It's always boring even with the best of hosts. It could have strippers doing magic tricks and dancing and it would still be boring.

Yeah, this year's wasn't as great. The jokes were either mean or didn't make sense at all, and most of the nominations weren't given to the movies that deserved them.

Would've been good if Sacha dumped something on someone again this year, but sadly he was too busy singing with the cast of Les Miserables.

It's really hard to stay awake the whole night to watch the oscars. Well, I've done so every year, sadly this year I wasn't able to do it that way, because I have to go to work in a few hours... Watching the rerun now, but I can't stay till the end...

I really enjoy the academy awards every year... I think one of the best shows was the one with hugh jackman... Also liked the 75th(???) where they show all best movies in history of the Academy Awards...

I always thought the guy who hosts Iron Chef Japan should host the Oscars - it's be funny and he can deliver all his lines in broken Engrish (never matters what the host says anyway).

And I do hand it to McFarlane for finally delivering an opening number I enjoyed, packed with information I can use - "We Saw Your Boobs"

William Shatner: I am very angry at Seth MacFarlane. He lured me to Hollywood tonight with the promise that he had a part for me in the new Star Trek Movie! I feel used and betrayed!
