Adventurebilt assistance?

Yes, expect a wait. Mine took 13 months, but it was delayed whilst he was making the ones for the film!

Admittedly I did get correspondence at he beginning when I placed my order, then the looong wait!

Just to clarify, waiting's not my issue at all - I expected a wait, and if the wait's gonna be longer then that's fine too. I'd just like to know what's happening now and to make sure that the hat wasn't shipped to my old work. Steve told a mutual friend that my hat "might not get there until Friday," and that was opening week of the movie (with opening day being the last delivery estimate I was given). I'd just love to know that it wasn't sent to the wrong place... and I'd LIKE to know a new delivery estimate, however long that may be. I'm patient; that's not the problem.

The order's a year old this month, and two and a half weeks past the latest delivery time I was given. I heard he didn't remember taking down my address change, although my friend gave it to him again when he said that. Now I'm just nervous. I don't like thinking that the package might be sitting in someone else's hands, and if I can't get in touch with Steve I can't confirm that one way or the other. It's very frustrating; I can understand why he might not see my emails if they're in a flood of thousands. I just wish he'd get in touch of his own volition when he either sent the hat or missed the delivery estimate. As it is, I know nothing - my order may have been fulfilled and the hat is somewhere else in Boston.

Sounds like you should just phone him....

Might be a lot less anxiety in a call that weeks of wondering if it was shipped to the wrong address.

The only problem with phoning is he doesn't actually answer the phone. You will reach a family member who will pass the message forward to him.

This may be the problem; depending on your size, it can take well over a year to get your hat. Even with the best intentions, Steve being sick probably pushed production back.

That said, I sympathize with your problem. I have been unable to contact Steve for some time as well, but I think that it is a problem everyone has right now.

I imagine that it will be sorted out before too much longer, but it is not unheard of for recently received hats to have taken 14 months.

Fourteen months would be fine; I'd love to KNOW that was the case. All I've been told directly was "before the film opens," and secondhand that my hat "might not arrive until" the day after the film opened. The person who heard that was also told that he didn't remember me changing my address, so who knows where it will be sent when it does finally go out.

I know that Adventurebilt is one of the untouchables around here, but there aren't many sellers who would be forgiven for holding hundreds of your dollars and missing their own given lengthy delivery time while not responding to repeated emails or contacting you on their own to let you know what the situation is now that they've missed it. I'm happy to wait, but communication is extremely important AND extremely easy. This is getting to be flat out depressing. :unsure

Oh well, last bump. I'm really hoping someone here who knows Steve can pass on my inquiry...

I decided to try one last time and sent Steve another friendly email today... and got a response very quickly. Sixth time's the charm! :lol

In any case, I can rest easy. The hat is safely unfinished at the moment, and not sitting in someone's cubicle at my old office. Should go out this week, he says... I'll post some pictures when it comes in - very excited to see it!
