This is my version of what I think Ahsoka's padawan braid beads would have looked like in live action. This project turned out to be very tedious. I thought it would be very easy to find diamond and triangle shaped beads. It definitely was not. I ended up making my own beads. The large diamond shaped beads are made from copper/aluminum, the 4 smaller diamond beads are aluminum and the 4 triangle shaped beads are cut from a brass bolt head. I cut the spacers from a brass tube I got from the hardware store. I used a needle file set, a hacksaw, a vice, and sanding block to shape these beads. It took much more time than I had ever planned on spending on this project. I used brass ager to patina the spacers and aluminum black on the 2 brass colored triangles and the 4 smaller diamond beads. All the round beads I got at a local bead store. I had bought 2 blue beads but they broke when I tried to feed the cord through them so I used a bronze bead and painted it. After shaping the diamond beads I painted them with a flat aluminum then used tamiya weathering kits to age them and highlight the details. Para cord is what I ran through the beads. I just melted the ends to keep everything in place.
I based these off of a few images I found from clone wars and I took into consideration Ahsoka's beads on her belt in the Mandelorian. They looked more organic and aged rather than completely semetrical beads. So I aged them and added a little carbon scoring. I did take into account that at the point Ahsoka gives up her braids they would have been through a lot of war and combat.
