Alternative for Alden's?

I'm going to be doing a full sized Indiana Jones figure.

In some areas, I'm a purist (hat, whip, jacket). But in others, if there is a decent cheap alternative, that's fine.

I don't want to spend $300 on footwear for a mannequin...

I'm going to assume you saw this thread:

The Work America boots I bought for $80 look pretty good. Major differences: gold-tone rivets instead of Aldens black or dark brown, and moc toe stitching is raised unlike Aldens which is virtually flat. The sole is gum, not leather like Aldens, but looks much more like the Aldens sole from a distance than any of the boots that have those huge black lug soles. They do run large if you get them - I normally wear an 11 W, but in these I'm wearing a 10.5.

Hey,

I'm selling a used pair of Aldens for $185. Let me know if you want to see some pics. Thanks.
