Looks pretty spot on to my eye. Make sure you like your OD first before making any permanent commitments, because once you nail the height you still have to spend anxious hours fretting about too much or too little or just enough lateral wall real estate to place everything, and while you will indubitably end up fudging here or there by spreading out or compressing in some pieces, you for sure want to have a nice "rough layout" that you're happy with before you lay down any epoxy or CA on the sidewalls. This is the approach I'm taking, at least, as I try to get to this next hurdle in the coming year. It's the part where you realize that in order to really successfully reverse-engineer a Falcon you have to build two Falcons -- one to screw it up completely and one to get it right by learning from the first one.So three pieces of 3/4” plywood plus my top and bottom works out to exactly 2 5/8” for the patty thickness. What do you think?

Definitely going to make a lot more sub assemblies before I glue and screw everything. It's a scary process.Looks pretty spot on to my eye. That pit build looks great John! Glad to see all those parts there, and styrene too. Thanks to a generous fellow builder, I was able to complete this today. View attachment 1730461
Thanks. Just got the room finished. Took me three years to build it. Lol. Need to get my artwork up, but it’s coming along. That pit build looks great John! Glad to see all those parts there, and styrene too.
There are certainly some saints amongst us.
Also loving that picture of the side wall, visually it looks right.
BTW, you have a very nice display room there.
I thought about that one. I don’t have that kit yet, but I’m afraid the scale might be too small.
Thanks!I'll check it later today.
