yes it's same,but a fe days before.
Now,brass is brown,and with patina,and steel is reddish black,but there are some grey areas,that's why I will wait a few weeks,to have a true old patina.
If you have the correct bubble,the kind of space under bubble has exactly the good size for a graflex clamp.

Hi Patrice,
If you have Russ Reps 4 part pommel you can also turn the cubes 180º around and make it look as the lightsaber appeared in the Chronicles and Mechanismo Book :

I can't,it's stuck or I don't know what,Impossible to remove....
Here is the new look of the grenade section:
and what I can display actually:
I have to find the emitter adapter,I know there will be a run^^
I will give weathering on emitter,using acid,oil and fire.
I will give patina on booster,using "gun black finish",then weather it,and scrtch it too
I have to give more weathering on clamp too,thin rust,then clean again.
And finally I have to find the transistor and washer,and some minor pieces too,I don't know what,some bolts and a kind of metallic pin.

Actually there are two cotter pins on the clamp going over the booster :
And 180º on the opposite side also going over the booster. Are you looking for real transistors or the ones from Russ Reps run?

will find real "flat TO5" boxed items,or TO99,it's quite cheap,just washers will bring problems...
I think in the future I will modify a TO5 box for electronics,don't know for the moment.

Hi all,I have some news about this saber.
I'm making a new pommel,to scew it on booster,and leave space inside for batteries.
I just turned the external shape,and top section,to put the speaker and hide with a cap
I have to finish inside,polish ,then add chrome.
diplayed with original pommel from Russ:
I'm thinking about a way to make a "true" emitter,with "working" elements,like efx,and the emittter would play the led and blade holder too,with a screw.

I found the bass,just the good size!
a friend has shown some cutaway on our forum,but I don't know who made what.
i have seen the one from ro-lightsaber,many tubings,too many.
I want to give each external element a specific use: pommel and booster will get energy cell
graflex will hide crystal chamber and "optical" controllers,cooling
grenade will hide magnetif field,mainly made of yellow metal
then emitter will get...emitter
What wont be easy is to hide all "standarts" electronics,and blade holder,soundboard are generally quite large,so it's not easy to hide,especially in the OB1 lightsaber...
Won't be a cutaway,won't be a static prop,wont be really duellable,because of accuracy of brass grenade section,but the idea would be to make a soft duellable accurate prop,maybe a "hero"?
I'm already thinking about the stunt version,same external shape,inside empty to give space for BIG batteries,full steel grenade.
some parts would be used for both sabers:frag body,graflex clamp,booster and pommel,turbine,and external part of emitter
but it's just an idea...
would be funny to make a vid,to see the guy assemblying the saber,then battleling really hard,or just replacing the cell,because it's just the bad moment,during a battle^^
