Anyone ever built a large-scale Mon Calamari cruiser?

Space Capital ships get no love. Too few of those…too many action figures and cars.
For real...After I complete my rebel fleet of scratchbuilds I want to build some Homeworld-inspired capital ships. More colorful than Star Wars ;)

Wow what a cool creation! Thanks for tracking those pictures down! After today I'm thinking some sort of foam structure might be the way to go, since I'm shooting for a 5-6 foot ship and don't want it to be too heavy. Thank you!!
Plus it's a lot less work than other materials I'm told

Hello, I was thinking of making a studio scale Mon calamari cruiser! I'm about half done a scratch-built studio scale Millenium falcon and now i wanted to pick a ship that i hardly ever see get made. Still deciding on a regular cruiser or the "Home One". I'm thinking of making a frame and covering it in something i can smooth out. I can vacuform some of the smaller bulges, but im not set up for huge vacuformed pieces.

You could try and design the basic hull in 3D and print out a hollow shell. perhaps with internal points where you can attach a aluminum framework. No need for for fiberglass or a buck for a large hull. Add on vacuformed pieces as needed.

I will be working on a large scale Home One for printing later in the year.
I want to do it at 1/1000 scale, which would be about 1.3m long
