I went to see endgame over 12 times to help try and bump avatar from the number 1 spot..
I hope to god all the time holding my pee doesn’t go to waste when this sequel comes out
Adjusted for inflation, Avatar isn't even in the top 10:

Worldwide, my understanding is that Avatar generally ranks at 2 or 3 behind only Gone With The Wind and, by some measures, Titanic.
That's probably fair.I would argue the Worldwide numbers for older films are highly questionable. There just aren't good numbers for older films available.
Isn't that the same thing most though of the first one? Visually and technologically, pretty amazing. Generic plot...?Review from Dan Murrell out, who tends to produce pretty fair takes.
His mixed assessment, still concluding in a recommendation:
- absolutely spectacular visuals and action, especially in 3D (though he suggests avoiding HFR screenings if possible)
- inoffensive but also unremarkable plot and characters
According to other critics; the eco-message is thick with this one, more so than the first![]()
I tried to tell my vegan friends that the bacon I eat was already killed.I am very sad, I am being pressured into seeing this movie at a work function—my office rented out a theater for our Christmas party. The plus side is, me seeing it or not seeing it won’t affect the box office profits at all—my seat’s already been paid for. Of course, I still have to watch the damn thing.
I feel like I am in a similar circumstance. My son wants to see it. Doesn’t like the original and no real interest in this blue-man-group-takes-a- swim of a movie.I am very sad, I am being pressured into seeing this movie at a work function—my office rented out a theater for our Christmas party. Just think of it as taking one for the RPF team: selflessly braving the blue to report back so that those among us who remain on the fence (or even I suppose in my case, in distant sight of the fence) may feel that much more informed in our decision.Of course, I still have to watch the damn thing.
Then I’ll do my duty and lie down on this grenade for you all.Just think of it as taking one for the RPF team: selflessly braving the blue to report back so that those among us who remain on the fence (or even I suppose in my case, in distant sight of the fence) may feel that much more informed in our decision.
Plus, if by chance you come out loving it, THEN we'll know it's the "motion picture event of a generation."
