Now that this prop replica is looking a little decent, I can look at it and think of the movie's memorable phrase:
I AM ... THE LAW !
Give or take, this took around 30 man-hours, 5 packets of cigarettes, more mugs of coffee than I care to count, and 2 years off my life expectancy :lol
'Nuff said, so here it is, intermingled with some before / after pics.
And here it is, finally displayed on the wall.
Valuable lessons I learnt here : throw NOTHING you are not pleased with away and never say "this is pointless !" :lol

Now that I've built my Yamato, Millennium Falcon, and finished salvaging the Lawgiver, I can now continue to do this build, which I stopped doing 2 years ago

This is one amazing save dude. I don't think I would have had the patience to tackle it. Good job on toughing it out. The results are obviously worth it.

I've seen one on ebay. There is one at the moment. What baffles me is that it's origin is in South Africa :confused

Hmmmm, it does look like it would suffer from Barrel droop. I may try my hand at fabricating a metal/resin one form my display instead.

While on patrol the other day through the Cursed Earth, they came across this
They dug it out and brought it to me to clean it up. So I did.
To my astonishment, a vacuum of sorts had formed on the under-side, and it was perfectly preserved !
