Batman Cape Build... HELP

Hey everybody! I have just bought $80 of a lightweight, heavy gauge waterproof material. (I got like 7 metres)
I was just wondering if anybody has a cutting template and a sewing template for a 6 panel cape? I have one template but it is for an 8 panel cape... Any help or pictures of capes you have made or purchased would be a big help, Thanks :)

Sorry if you already know but it looks like the template you've got there has info for a 6 panel as well as an 8 panel.

haha Yeah I did notice that, it's just that I wanted one which doesn't confuse the hell out of my seamstress :p haha I have 11 metres of fabric so Hopefully it should come together nicely :lol

All you need to do is find the radius needed as per the diagram and then divide it by 6 instead of 8. That way you'll get a full sized cape with 6 panels instead of 8. Of course it'll use the same amount of fabric unless you remove to sections as per the dotted line on the diagram.

I'll admit, these patterns can be confusing sometimes but if you divide the circle into 6, that will tell you how big each panel will be.

If I'm reading the chart right to make it a 6 panel cape you just remove the two top panels(the red circle around the tempate is the 6 panel). It even gives you the amount of fabric required for the 6 and 8 panel as well.

Use old bed sheets to make templets. That way if you screw it up, its just a bed sheet. Then once you get that right, cut the real material.
