Here are some more progress pics. We finished the sideboard and one of the two dividing walls.
I was lucky to grab some standees at the cinema I work at. So the solution how to decorate the dividing walls was not realy a problem. Now good ol' slimy Davy Jones is my new (funny smelling ) room mate...
This is how I'm going to use the new corner. All I need is a new old-looking table for my TV. One of the next projects I think
This looks fantastic. As far as the seeming wash-out that your lights provide. You can pick up strands of a rope light from Wal-Mart, it's just a bunch of LED type lights inside a semi-flexible plastic tubing. I have some in my kitchen and out on my deck and them aren't super bright, but they light up just enough. You might think about running some around your window frames and seeing if you like the look that provides.
