Black Pearl - Captain's Room

This looks fantastic. As far as the seeming wash-out that your lights provide. You can pick up strands of a rope light from Wal-Mart, it's just a bunch of LED type lights inside a semi-flexible plastic tubing. I have some in my kitchen and out on my deck and them aren't super bright, but they light up just enough. You might think about running some around your window frames and seeing if you like the look that provides.

Also, can't wait to see this finished.

Nice idea. I'll definitly try that. This was one of the problems I had to find a solution for. So thanks. :)

Here are some more progress pics. We finished the sideboard and one of the two dividing walls.

I was lucky to grab some standees at the cinema I work at. So the solution how to decorate the dividing walls was not realy a problem. Now good ol' slimy Davy Jones is my new (funny smelling :D ) room mate...

This is how I'm going to use the new corner. All I need is a new old-looking table for my TV. One of the next projects I think ;)

Hi.

No updates worth mentioning...

We hung up the chart causing the whole project and the shelves above the "windows" are filled with dvds and computer games - the bed has been used. That's all we did during the last months.

We'll pick up the project as soon as it becomes 'warmer' outside and as soon as I'll get some spare time (which will be in March)

:)

Hi there.

Not a "real" update but I wanted to show you guys the reason for this project. Here you can see the chart my girlfriend painted for me.

Last weekend we finished the ceiling by papering parts of it with plank-looking wallpapers. Actually we are working on the window-frames and I hope we'll finish them during the weekend. New update coming soon :)

Wow. Serious awesome. The whole room and the map.

I may have missed this answer - so sorry in advance. Are you not going to put the panels in the windows? I think that and plexi would give it a great touch.

Thanks for the compliments :)

We are not going to use plexi or any other transparent stuff for now I think. There will be just the frames in the beginning. Maybe later we'll think of a solution as it is difficult to keep the dust away from the windows. Once they are attached there will be no easy way to reach the other side of them.

Re: Black Pearl - Captain's Room

Hi there!

Unfortunately, we had to move because of family problems! Therefore our project came to a unexpected stop. We removed all the pirate stuff from the room but keep everything stored where it is safe: to build up the cabin once again some time. :cry

Before removing everything we took some final shots. We never managed to finish the room, so here it is:
