Blade Runner Blaster

Very nice.
I only have this Japanese model gun.

By no means do I wish to steal your thunder MMfish - and how could I? That's a Sidkit, and it's an unreal finish - but I figure since I just got here, and there are people sharing Deckard Blaster pics, I'd show my (first) build ever.

It's resin - acquired at a convention. Perhaps a "Wilco"?

I used "Worldcon" photos to rework the kit. All of the screws and hardware were bored out and replaced with real metal. I had to drill holes for the LEDS in the "jeweller's screwdriver" and the body (they don't function - this was one solid hunk o' resin).

As for the paint, it was a sneaky and difficult combination of enamel and acrylic, multiple washes and satin and gloss lacquers. I wanted to do a sort of blend of "Worldcon" and "real-world" - not too clean, but not a rusty hunk o' metal. Tell me what you think (I'm really open to criticism - part of why I'm here is to get better at this stuff).

Certainly looks like a Wilco, I would recognize the trigger positions anywhere. Looks great, especially considering what you started from. The grip butt plate isn't from the wilco though. I wonder if it was replaced too?

Here's my RAC Props version; one prop I'll never get rid of!

I broke out my Dremel and rebuilt the butt plate. Got as close as I could to the actual shape.

Eagle...I wish I was insanely wealthy - then I could do the RACProps version!! :D
