BLAST's Fett Wood Carving

Hey gang, I thought I'd share with you my most recent creation. Since February or so I've been enjoying carving wood with chisels. Kinda combines my fondness for drawing and sculpting with the pressures of not messing up. This is my second finished carving, much smaller than my first, but he stands about 7" tall without the base. It's carved from 2 blocks of Northern Bass wood, has a moving right arm and thrusters. Stained with linseed oil and then washed with acrylics. Took about a month and a half of working here and there. It's titled "Journeyman Protector". Sorry for the lacking pics, but I hope you like it!

And my first:

1 Piece, carved out of an Oak log from my grandmother's back yard. Now resides in my family's restaurant. Sorry, I did the Owls in February and it was the first time I'd ever used a chisel or ever carved anything. It's a lot like drawing for me, but a lot more nerve wracking.
