BSG Triad Cards

I really wish I had HD screengrabs of the cards.

Nice work on the back/front there, Jediclone!

Based on the cards currently being auctioned off by Propworx, there are enough images to confirm that there are at least 4 suits - Red, Green, Blue and Black. The borders are based on the color of the suit - Black = 1 line; Red = 2 lines; Green = 3 lines; Blue = 4 lines.

Most cards have a thin black horizontal line so that the player knows the top from the bottom of the card. The numbering system is consistent with the Myan system up to 10. And there there is one card with a thick vertical line with a square dot under it. Maybe this is supposed to be 11 or maybe the equivalent of an ace or court card??? If that's the case then based on what is seen in the auction images so far, the deck is composed of at least 44 cards.

Soooo

Anybody working on this using the PropWorx photos?

Interested parties want to know.

It's possible that by the time all the auctions are over, there will be enough images for a complete deck... I'm hoping that's the case!

Hi guys,

a few years ago I created a font to make your own Pyramid card game. The files are attached.

Enjoy

So, looking at the current auction, I'm leaning toward thinking that the deck is based on a standard 52 card deck.

Last time there was a card with a vertical line and a yellow square underneath like an exclaimation point which I assumed could be the equivalent of an ace or court card. This time there are cards with only a yellow square in the center and no other markings and then a card with 3 black and yellow 'exclaimation marks'. Unless more cards surface which haven't been seen yet I'd say the lone yellow square is an ace and the cards with the 'exclaimation marks' are court cards. Presumably there is one we haven't seen yet - the one with two 'exclaimation marks'... This makes an ace and 2-10 plus 3 court cards in each of 4 colors - 52 cards unless there are some specialty cards that haven't been shown. I think this might be the last batch of auctions, so there may not be any more images to see.

I'll have to look at the miniseries again to see if any of the cards are visable when Starbuck announces she has 'full colors'. I can only think this might be 4 of a kind hence having the same card in all four colors.

You mean abou tthe bottles? I priority shipping boxes from the post office just arrived today so I'll pack one up and take it to the post office monday to be weighed :)

hey man I sent you a couple emails. You get them?

I, too, would like to acquire a full deck of 'triad' cards - especially since there are now good references available via the recent auctions.

Judging by one of the current auctions (a reproduction of the hand Starbuck laid down in the miniseries) "Full Colors" seems to refer to a flush of at least 5 cards...

To complicate things a bit, in looking at the photo, there are two "3" cards in the blue suit. This would seem to suggest there are two of each card making a 104 card deck as opposed to a 52 card deck.

I'm not a poker player myself so I know nothing about it. Is poker ever played using a double deck?
