Death Proof Skull Graphic

Forgive the roughness of this image, but here's a little something I whipped up:

Oh, silly me. my computer crapped out and I totally forgot I was going to reply. :lol
Anyway, Awesome work Beeb, it's perfect. :cool
I even meshed it to a 3D block and turned it to match the angle in the photo, and it was like, spot on. Love it! :D

You wouldn't happen to have a file in the 4 or 5 foot size range would you? Or is that even possible? :confused

Edit: Wow, I guess this image is pretty popular, I never would have guessed. :lol
That's pretty good too Badd Blood. Your lightning bolts need a little work, but that skull is mighty fine if I do say so.

Thanks again! Being that this is a vector based file, it can be enlarged as much as you want so 4 to 5 feet wouldn't be a problem. :)

Thats good to hear. :)
I copied the 2nd image on page 2 and blew up to 4 feet in width for a rough experiment. Then I printed it out in Paint. It would help if I knew how big the Nova's hood was, but if the skull is 2 feet at the cheekbones, this might give you guys a sense of scale.

I had to stand in a chair to fit it all in the frame. Those papers are 8x10"s. The orange block in the upper right corner is a guitar effect pedal. It's about 5x3" and fits inside the eye with room to spare.
I have to get me some scotch tape before I can go through with phase 2 of my experiment. So, stay tuned for another photo. :love

I give you... The Death Proof Buick! :lol
DPbuick.jpg

Just goes to show you; a skull and lightning bolts will make even the most mundane of cars look cooler. :)
I just tacked it on with masking tape for a quick pic.The sunlight washed out the skull's eyes and nose but it was the best shot I could get, it was a little too windy outside. Other than that, I think it's just a little too big. How about you guys?

Okay, I got me a 1/24 scale Nova and did some calculating. The Skull at from lightning bolt tip to lightning bolt tip, is only 30 inches wide.
I'll scale up another paper quicky and tape it to my car and post a pic soon.

Ha Ha that's one bad buick! So who do I have to kill to get a copy of that vector file?

cents?

dollars?

blood?

first born?

:lol

I second that request. I've gad a black '83 Futura sitting the driveway, and that would just look way too cool on the hood. I even have a vinyl guy to get it done cheap (My brother's best friend). Gotta love family!! :lol

Well guys, you'll have to talk to the awesome Beeb89 for that. I'm still loving on the graphic I got. :) Even printed up a nice Death Proof T-Shirt.

Truely the coolest and most faithful rendition I have seen thus far and probably ever.
Now as soon as I get my hands on that Nova...:love

Wow! Who knew there would still be an interest? :)

If you want a vector based file or a good sized jpeg, just PM me or post with your email addy and I'll be happy to send it along.

I think Beebs graphic will go well on my new toy.

A black 1972 Chevy Nova.

That's my new baby. :love
She's got a 350 engine with flowmaster exhausts. If your car purs like a kitten then this devil roars like a lion on steroids. It is one loud beast. :cool

I've got the file Beeb89 sent to me, but seeing as it's his work in the end, I dont feel like I should hand it out without approval. So I would suggest shooting him a PM if you want the vector file.
As for my Death Proof car, it's still a dream at the moment. I fell in love with my Nova and I just couldnt bear to strip it and turn it into the Death Proof car. So I'm on the look out for another Nova to take on the job. It wont be a 100% replica because I want lots of speed and some other features, but appearance wise, it'll be right there. :cool

Thanks.

I was re-watching Payback with Mel Gibson, from 1999. He wants to steal money from the Asian mob, so he gets a primered Nova, adds a rollcage and safety harnesses, and crashes head-on into their car.
I wonder if thats where Tarantino got the idea.

[and his car at the end is a charger]

As much as I would like to do that, I unfortunately suffered a hard drive meltdown the first of the year and lost all my info including the Death Proof graphic.

Sorry about that, buddy!
