EFX is THE helmet, from the same files, produced the same way as the show helmet. I’m no fan of EFX but they knocked this one out of that park. Denuonovos makes some good helmets for sure, but their Bo is pretty much just a licensed fan made replica.. and not even a good one, imo.

As far as I know, orders cannot be cancelled at Denuo Novo? According to the FAQ, orders can only be changed to credit points or other available helmets. I also pre-ordered a Bo Katan helmet from Denuo Novo when it was announced, and shortly afterwards the EFX announcement came. I also ordered the EFX straight away and it is already here and as good as the Denuo Novo will never be. Denuo Novo pre-order means already fully paid. If you have any experience with cancelling orders, let me know. My plan at the moment is to wait for the Bo Katan helmet until it is finally available and then sell it again.

I don't expect the Denuo Novo Bo Katan helmet to be at the same level of accuracy as the efx. The efx is intended to be a replica of the prop. The Denuo Novo is meant to be a high end costume piece. It's hard to know specifically how they compare until the Denuo Novo is released.
For the Mandalorian helmets, I would say there were pluses and minuses to both.

Yeah that’s my dilemma. I have both efx and Denuo Novo Mando helmets and the Denuo Novo one is better, even though the efx was more accurate
What the hell is the problem? Less is not more. More is more. Keep them both.

Why not just switch to a different helmet from DN? There's got to be something else you'd want.

From an accuracy standpoint, I can't imagine the Denuo Novo Bo Katan helmet being better. I can see it possibly being better if it fits someone better or they don't want to wear the efx with a costume. The comparisons will be interesting when it comes out. I was concerned with Denuo Novo getting the weathering to look right. Weathering hasn't been their strength.

To be honest, I thought about it for a long time, but I personal don't really need another helmet from Denuo Novo.
A refund would be the best solution, but unfortunately that's not possible. I'm currently thinking about which helmet would be the easiest to resell, and I'd probably take that one... The Bo Katan helmet will certainly not be a masterpiece, so it might not be a bad idea to swap it for something where you can't go wrong. But I'm not sure what that could be.

You inspired me to go count. I have at least 46 Star Wars helmets. This includes DN, Anovos, EFX, Master Replicas, Hasbro Black Series and one Commander Neyo fan made custom that I painted.
This does not include helmets to any of my life-size figures with armor, any of my wife's helmets nor my custom Boba Fett motorcycle helmet.
I'm also working on a 3D printed Boushh helmet, but did not include that one either.
41 SW ones here (excluding intentional duplicates (got 2 Black series ones double, one at my workplace and one elesewhere) and 3 of the HJC motorcycle ones (Xwing, Boba & stormtrooper).
Spread is from the Black series ones (primary source currently since i don't trust the highend manufacturers anymore after the anovos disaster), store-bought Anovos ones, Denuo novo from 2 anovos orders (thanks god for that), RSPM and a few fanmade ones.
Non-SW part is 35 more (counts extracted from my inventory keeping file)
that's where my mind is at now. I did put myself on the wait list for the BoKatan helmet at sideshow, I'm guess that chances are quite low that it will get converted.
