Detailed Gaff costume from 1982 Blade Runner

Hi all

Had anyone done a detailed analysis of Gaff's costumes from 1982 Blade Runner? I'm working on a costume for November this year in LA - have the coat and silver suit, just trying to figure out the shirt and bow tie. In some pics it looks grey, and sometimes it looks blue - with a pattern. I guess I will need to get the double breasted waistcoat made.

I'm heading to LA 5-8 November - have tickets for Neotropolis Bar from 9-11pm on the 6th. Have Gaff, Deckard, Rachel, Pris so far. Will be visiting the filming locations. On the 8th I am heading to Tokyo and will do a night in costume in Akihabara (Electronics Town).

I found a new pic that shows the shirt and bow tie quite well - anyone have any ideas on sourcing the vest, shirt and bow tie?

Nice. I have tickets for Saturday the 2nd. Flying in from the east coast. I might still be in LA on the 6th and would be tempted to come check you guys out if I am. I'm also planning to make some pilgrimages to filiming locations.. and i think the spinner is still on display at the auto museum in town.

The costume I'm working on is original.. just sort of, a random extra that would have fit in the background in the movie.

My wife and I did Deckard+Pris for comic con in the past.

Gaff's costume was always the most difficult one to do; not a lot of parts of that costume have been identify or reproduced accurately.
Even if you find that type of vest and shirt (bow tie should be easy to repro) good luck finding his shoes (black runners with white accents...)

Agreed - I have never actually seen a screen grab of the shoes - I guess I'll need to watch the movie again. I believehe wore white shoes at some point, maybe with the other costume.

Isn't one of deckard shirts made out of the same material as his vest in the Bryant Office picture?

Picture is the best lit one I could find.

Thanks Nick for that pic, but I've seen a B&W of the same scene (Police Station) where Gaff is leaning on the side of a bench; shoes are defo running shoes.

Deckard’s shirt is different, it’s a more complex design.
