Limited Run Edward scissor hands * last one *

Glad I got into this run then, if you won't make these anymore! I am waiting for years and years for someone to tackle the most iconic prop from my favorite movie!

hi guys almost there just assembling and some weathering to do and there all yours if you could all pm me a shipping address i'll give you your final balance and ship as soon as all payments are made

Hey BC-FX, I'd like to receive my gloves finished, please... The bone bits don't look quite te same as on your original pics. Looks like they are not finished / aged yet. I'm also missing the spring? I also saw that you took a bit of a shortcut for the spring in one of the scissors:

Scissorhands.jpg

Looks like the one in your opening post is a real spring, and in the ones in the pictures this is a simplified self-made spring... I also have the impression that the paintjob on yours is a bit better than on the sold ones?

Sorry to be so critical, but this is a prop that costs me over €1000, and is in the top 5 of my most expensive props. For this price, I expect the same thing (same quality / finishing that is) as seen in the pictures in your first post. I hope you understand...

tom you asks me to change the bone thins i change crimped and drilled the ends of them since the photo was taking, as for the spring i could not get hold of 6 so i improvised and the paint job is the same, some changes had to be made they are finished just need thee bone things attaching nuts and bolts are provided you all so did not agree with where i attached them this and shipping is why some assembly is required

Thanks for the update, BC-FX. I really should not know about the handles. Any reason you would make them out of rubber. Isn't that harder to paint?

In the meanwhile, I saw this: https://www.facebook.com/CosplayofRyanWells (scroll down a bit for a video of this guys scissorhands in motion). Although the overall look is not as great as yours, I do like the "boney stick" parts that are attached between the scissors and the hands. Maybe it can give you some ideas to even improve your gloves. ;).

Ok, so the bone things on the picture are not the finished one's we'll get, if I understand correctly? As for the srping I mentioned: I can get a real one for a few euro's, so it it's easily removed, I can replace it myself with a real one... Last questin was about the long spring-wire that's also on the outside of the glove in your pictures: is that included?

i did say when all payments are in, thinking it would speed things up but no we still have one hanging on.

i'll get them out this week :thumbsup

I'd sell a non-paid spot to somebody else who is interested, if you'd ask me... Anyway, thanks for the update!

£700 makes a bit over $1000 (without shipping), but with PayPal exchange rates, I guess it will be a bit more. Try it out in PayPal, I'd say. Since my "base currency" is euro's, I can't do the simulation...

Got my pair today. One of the scissorparts broke off but I was able to epoxy it in place nicely. The gloves are a pretty close fit...

The overall look is great, though. I'm going to look for a pair of mannequin hands to put these on display soon...

Little question: is the palm piece of the right hand supposed to be screwed to the red part of the siccors on the index finger? I'm missing a hole there, so I'm not sure exactly of it's supposed to be screwed on or the screw is just to go through the palm part and not the scissor part... Some assembly instructions would be nice...

hey tom sorry to hear is been damaged in the post i did state they are a small fitting right from the start and we have spoke about some assembly before

the bone parts im did not attach for 2 reasons transit and i have see several contradicting photos as you have pointed out to me as well so afew wing nuts to tighting is a small price to pay to have it the way you want it

the index finger i did not drill as if you chose not to attach you would not have a ghastly hole, easier to add a hole than take one away

So these should be screwed together normally?

And where do I screw these boney things too, If I can ask? On the glove they should be sewed, I guess, but I don't find anything on the scissors to screw them too (apart from one that can be screwed to the palm plate).

I started to put mine together and I'm really happy with quality of the aluminum scissors. They turned out as good as I hoped! I had and old pair of wooden hands that had some broken fingers. Replaced them with coat hanger and an old strip light! :) Worked out awesome!

I added my own leather and will probably make my own bone thingys but I'm very happy with how it's starting to turn out! Thanks for making these BC!
