Yes...it will be that much. They are going by volumetric shipping not by weight. That means you are "shipping" 100 lbs unfortunately.

You think that's bad? You should see the quotes international people are getting....

All my bigger props have been $100+ for shipping. I'm not letting that stop me from getting one. $300 would have been tough but still, i think i would have just convinced myself i paid $1300 with free shipping.
That pretty much sums it up. If you really want it and are willing to pay the $1k then an extra hundred or even two hundred for shipping isn't bad at all.

When I think about it, I've paid $40 shipping before for lightsabers. This is like shipping two sabers and the value of this package will be twice as much. I'm happy if I only have to pay $100.

I really want to know what I'm gonna get stung for on shipping and customs charges etc.... I'm looking at the Legend but cannot justify paying double the cost......:cry

Utilising the dimensions and weight provided by eFX, it would appear the total sum to purchase the "Legend" edition will indeed literally be double when accounting for import duties and taxation. Which needless to say is utterly ridiculous.

I dare say the shipping charges will be less then quoted by FedEx's calculator, but by how much? The required deposit of $350 to secure a helmet is hardly an amount one should have to gamble with when placing an order on nothing more than hope and a little faith.

One understands eFX have yet to finalise accurate dimensions, but surely they could be a little more accommodating and assist in what appears to be a rather sizeable issue for many.

I thought it was an efxcollectibles.com exclusive? If it's not, can you please PM me your dealer so I can order as well? Might get this AND the ESB...
The "Legend" is only available through eFX, the "Limited" is available through dealers.

Says "anticipated Q4-2011" on their website, meaning the last quarter of 2011, meaning October at the very earliest.

Which more LIKELY means, given the history of these sorts of things, sometime in 2012.

What would worry me is that in worst case scenario the company folds before the helmets are delivered and there goes a sizeable deposit. Just saying.

They will make approx $400,000 from the preorder alone then an extra $662,500 when they are ready to post. I think they will stay afloat.
