Yeah, this "black chrome" version must be ultra glossy looking.

And IMO the original EFX silver/chrome version looked just plain silly, but to each their own.

At least that looked… intentional? This black one just looks like a badly painted helmet.

I liked the chrome Boba and Vader helmets, but this black chrome version just looks cheap. Perhaps the photos just aren't doing it justice. Maybe in person or when they release better images, the metallic finish will be easier to appreciate. Here it just looks like an unfinished helmet with only the gloss black paint applied.

I'm guessing it is all painted black chrome, no silver or gunmetal. Reviews of a Hot Toys Death Trooper in black chrome said they wouldn't even describe it as black. The efx helmet looks pretty dark, so I don't know if there is much difference between that and very glossy black.
