Here are some pics. I don't have the stormtrooper but here is the shadowtrooper. Same thing just different color.

Mine's in the box in storage, but I remembered I had a crappy iphone pic of it.

The EFX ESB is on the left and my AP ANH is on the right.

The EXF looks bigger but I think it's just the angle of the photo.

This is the same as the MRCE right? Certainly looks it. There's a bunch of work to do if you want to ''semi accurise' it. Here's mine before tinkering:

..and then after some adjusting including:
moving brow up
slimming ears down
adding tooth gaps and re-shaping
adding new frown paint
adding grill behind teeth
new lenses
new stripes
added ear screws
filling gap at front join
..and a bunch of other minor tweaks..

IMHO it's a passable bucket, but the face is too narrow, and of course, no eye bump.

Does the EFX and or MR Fiberglass helmet have the "eye bump"?? The pics I have seen of them on starwarshelmets.com don't seem to have it but some stock pics when they come up for sale do??

I noticed while looking there that none of the hero helmets seem to have the eye bump.

A lot of the stunt ones don't have it either??

The above pics show the helmet pretty good but not nearly as beautifull as is it. I think all cameras by us non pro photographers will not show it as good as it looks. I think the flash washes out a lot of the shine and what not. It looks okay in the pics above but it looks a lot better in person.

Will post pics ASAP but she is already suspicious and looking at some props with that look. You guys know the one, "Have I seen this prop before or is he sneeking it in on me?" She would notice a new big white helmet. I have slipped in a few lightsabers and various other pieces here and there but can't do that with the helmet. Just need to "buy" it at a later date.

The CE (cheaper helmet) is supposed to be a stunt version, the original movie stunt helmets all had the bump on the right eye.

The LE (Expensive fibreglass helmet) is supposed to be a hero version, the original movie hero helmets did not have the eye bump.

The reason the CE helmet doesn't have the bump is because they took the left side of the helmet and flipped it to make a symmetrical helmet, so you're not just mising the bump on the right eye you're missing the entire right side.

My camera has wigged out so I'm not having much luck with pics. I doubt I could get a better pic than this one. This is an okay pic but it does not show how awesome this helmet is. This one has a less then perfect band but you get the idea. In hand the Helmet looks incredible.

I'm just excited because, although I own the EFX and Master replicas
Clone Helmets I don't think a good Helmet should always cost a fortune.

I think we are getting a new camera for Christmas so I will take some shots of it along with a few next to the Fiberglass Clonies from MR and EFX

Yes, I use that look on my wife all the time. I just assume everything is new.

Also, this is why we each have our own separate "allowance" accounts, so we can buy whatever we want and the other can't say anything about it. YMMV.

ive been thinking about getting this since i sold what i think was an FX helmet that i got off ebay and was not happy with. does anyone know if id be better off getting a kit or one of these? (price wise i mean) it dosent have to be perfectly accurate or anything.

In the end only you can make a decision if this helmet is worth it to you or not.
I’m totally happy with mine for the price, I personally think it is worth the money I paid.
The inaccuracies really don’t bother me in any way.

You think you want one that is "Good enough" but you will just keep buying them till you get an accurate one. I promise you! :lol

If you can't see which one looks better in the pic (jameskenobi's pic) of the efx next to the AP though... go for the efx. Probably won't find one cheaper.

My vote is still and always be AP "Seconds" kit for you brother. I really think in the long run you will be way happier. And from what I've seen the kits can go for about the same price. The efx is not accurate. People love em and that is GREAT! But it still doesn't make it look like what we saw in the movies. :sleep
