This is the EFX Darth Vader Legend Edition A New Hope fiberglass helmet from 2012. It is a Brian Muir Signature Edition, with a limited production of 364 pieces. This helmet has never been displayed—only opened for inspection and stored in the basement.
While opening it to take pictures, I noticed a crack has formed on the back of the neck area. It is assumed that this either occurred at the factory or developed over time from being stored on its back for years. You can see the crack in the pictures.
Additionally, the fabric where the Velcro strap is attached has started to pull away from the edge of the mask. This is also visible in the pictures.
This is a beautiful piece, preserving some of the original warts and imperfections from the screen-used helmet. It deserves to be displayed rather than hidden away in a basement.
